This is a contract role through Magnit Global for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan. This is a hybrid role and rquires reporting onsite 3 days a week.
Responsibilities:
- Lead business analysis activities across complex technology initiatives, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.
- Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements through interviews, workshops, and analysis sessions.
- Conduct detailed process analysis, workflow mapping, and gap assessments to support solution design.
- Participate in and influence functional design discussions, ensuring requirements are accurately translated into technical specifications.
- Create, interpret, and analyze ad‑hoc reports to support operational and project decision‑making.
- Support the escalation and resolution of project risks, issues, and system defects, providing clear documentation and recommendations.
- Analyze and correct system data as needed to maintain data integrity and operational continuity.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, leading discussions and guiding stakeholders through complex technical and business topics.
- Work closely with development and infrastructure teams to support solutions built on Azure App Services, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Function
- Apps, APIM, and related cloud components.
- Assist in troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis using Azure Application Insights and other diagnostic tools.
- Support monitoring and performance visibility by maintaining and enhancing SolarWinds dashboards, alerts, and configurations.
- Contribute to deployment planning and environment readiness across Development, QA, Staging, and Production.
- Ensure alignment with CI/CD practices and DevOps processes, collaborating with teams using Azure DevOps, Git, and pipelines.Provide leadership, mentorship, and independent problem‑solving support to project teams and stakeholders
Requirements:
- Strong business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, documentation, process modeling, and stakeholder facilitation.
- Ability to translate business needs into clear functional and technical requirements.
- Hands‑on understanding of Azure services, including App Services, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Function Apps, APIM, Blob Storage, and App Configuration.
- Familiarity with Azure SQL, complex SQL queries, Synapse, Data Factory, and NoSQL concepts.
- Experience using Application Insights for monitoring, diagnostics, and root‑cause analysis.
- Working knowledge of SolarWinds for system monitoring, alerting, and performance analysis.
- Understanding of modern development practices, including ASP.NET Web API, cloud‑native architectures, and API‑driven systems.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Git repositories, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead discussions and collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
- Ability to work independently while providing guidance and leadership to others.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Azure Fundamentals (AZ‑900) or Azure Developer (AZ‑204) certification preferred. Additional certifications in business analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) or SolarWinds training are beneficial.
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $ 55-$66/hr
