This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan. This role is hybrid to Jackson, MI or to the nearest Service Center closest for the candidate in lieu of Jackson, Michigan but requires 3 days onsite and 10% local travel.
Responsibilities:
Provides administrative and technology-driven support to ensure the successful execution of projects and programs.
This role leverages modern project management platforms, automation tools, digital workflows, and data analytics to improve efficiency, accuracy, and visibility across project activities.
Responsibilities include maintaining project documentation and electronic records, and building, editing and utilizing automated reporting tools and dashboards to provide real-time project support.
The Project Coordinator works closely with leadership to identify requirements, track open projects and key performance metrics.
The role assists with identifying and implementing process improvements through workflow automation, standardized reporting, and digital collaboration solutions that reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and enhance productivity.
By integrating technologies such as PowerApps, PowerBI, Power Automate, Excel-based automation, SharePoint, and project management systems, the Project Coordinator supports data-driven decision-making, strengthens governance and compliance, and enables efficient communication across project teams, vendors, finance, and leadership.
This position plays a role in driving operational excellence through the use of technology, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance project delivery and organizational performance.
Project coordinators must be well-organized, capable of working under pressure, and able to multitask, and attention to detail and a patient demeanor are also important.
Requirements:
Experience as a dashboard developer that designs, builds, and maintains interactive data visualizations to help organizations make data-driven decisions.
They collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements, extract data from various sources, and use tools like Tableau or PowerBI to create clear, actionable dashboards.
Key skills include data analysis, SQL-DAX, proficiency with PowerApps, PowerBI tools, databricks and strong communication to translate complex data.
They should also be familiar with software such as Microsoft Excel, and a bachelor's degree in business or communications is generally required for this position.
The Jackson Service Center is the primary work location however, the desired candidate will be able to report to any Service Center in close proximity. Hybrid work, with 3 days in the office is expected. Some travel (10%-15%) may occasionally be required.
Bachelors degree is preferred but will trade a minimum of 6 years work experience in lieu of the degree.
Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)
The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $ 30-$35/hr
