This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy. This role is hybrid and requires reporting onsite to Jackson, Michigan 3 days a week.

Job Overview:

 We are seeking a detail-oriented Instructional Designer with strong project management skills to join our team!  The  Instructional Designer is responsible for applying adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and company  standards to create and revise online and classroom training solutions. This includes designing engaging learning  experiences that meet business and learner needs.  The designer will collaborate closely with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to deliver effective learning solutions.

Please Note:   A portfolio demonstrating web-based training/eLearn examples is required for consideration for this role

Key responsibilities will include:    

    • Execute course development from in-take through launch in the LMS
    • Revise, design, and develop eLearn and classroom instructional content
    • Launch and test learning content within the LMS
    • Other related ID tasks, as needed, per project

Required Skills and Qualifications:     

    • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply instructional design methodologies to develop effective training solutions
    • Work interdependently with stakeholders to ensure quality products meet deliverables and timelines
    • Competency in developing eLearning courses using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Vyond
    • Well-developed writing, research, and editing skills, with familiarity in applying standard style guides
    • Proven project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
    • Experience working within a Learning Management System (LMS)
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

 Requirements:     

   • 1-3 years’ experience in instructional design and project management
    • Experience in designing and developing learning
