This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy. This role will be onsite in Jackson, MI.

Responsibilities: 

• Work with Various Stakeholders/IT to design and build efficient data pipelines 
• Build analytic tools that utilize the data pipeline to provide actionable insights into customer acquisition, operational efficiency and other key business performance metrics. 
• Assemble and clean big data; complex data sets including various data sources 
• Built and design various ETL’s using technologies like Python, APIs, and data pipelines as per IT standards for Cloud and On-Premise Data Lake and Reporting solutions. 
• Create data visualizations using various tools like Power BI, Tableau. 
• Assemble large complex data sets to meet functional business requirements. 
• Identify and improve internal process to automate manual data wrangling, optimizing performance, and improve data quality 
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional / non-functional business requirements Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc. Work with partners including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data-related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs 

Requirements:

• Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark/Scala, Kafka, etc. 
• Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Oozie, Control M etc. 
• Experience with stream-processing systems: Storm, Spark-Streaming, etc. 
• Experience with object-oriented/object function scripting languages: Python, Java, C++, Scala, etc. 
• Any knowledge of Data Science Models - Minimum 8 years experience.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $ 71 - $89/hr
