Description:

This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan. This role is hybrid. Mostly remote, but there may be occasions that they will need to report onsite. Location will vary.

Duties:

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to determine specific design focus. 
  • Design, develop, and evaluate instructional materials.
  • Curriculum and course development.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in education, instructional design, or any related subject.
  • 2-4 yrs experience in instructional design and project management. 
  • Experience in designing and developing learning.    
  • Being able to quickly get a firm grasp of a company's technology is a must, and troubleshooting experience is always preferred. 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently or on a team, and performance measuring.
  • Knowledge and/or familiarity with adult learning principles, and the ability to apply instructional design principles to training development.     
  • Competency building courses in Articulate Storyline or other e-learning software.    
  • Well-developed writing, research, and editing skills; familiarity with standard style guides.    
  • Proven project management skills.   
  • Experience with loading and managing courseware and documentation into a Learning Management System (SAP Success Factors/Workforce Connect).    

The following are preferred skills for this position:

  • BA in Instructional Design, Adult Learning or Equivalent.
  • Certified Performance Technologist (CPT).     
  • Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD).

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

  • The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $23.57/hour - $31.43/hour W-2.
