This is a contract role through Magnit for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan. This role is hybrid reporting  three days a week onsite. 

The Design Technician will be responsible for the following:

-Develop Microstation drawings used to complete civil construction of natural gas infrastructure projects.

-Develop standard detail drawings in Microstation

-Conduct analysis of external/third party designs using internal tools and ensure each design follows the required specifications.

-Work in collaboration with engineering staff

-Thoroughly understand construction drawing packages, civil site design, foundation design and structural design. 

Requirements:

Computer and applications knowledge and experience drafting construction drawings required. Clear and precise designs are needed to effectively convey the design requirements to the construction contractors. Designs need to be safe, ergonomic, and practical. 

Experience with Bentley products including MicroStation, Open Plant and ProjectWise are preferred.

An associate degree in an applicable scientific or technical field. Significant years of relevant design experience may be considered in lue of a technical degree.

Hourly Pay Rate Range (dependent on location, experience, expectation)

The pay range that Magnit reasonably expects to pay for this position is: $ 35-$44/ per hour
